- From Trinidad & Tobago, Stefan Bindley-Taylor’s “The Trouble with the Dog” is the winner of the BCLF Elizabeth Nunez Caribbean-American Writers’ Prize 2024.
[You may read the winning stories at the Brooklyn Caribbean Literary Festival (BCLF) site.]
Organized around the theme “Faces of the Caribbean,” the BCLF will take place from September 5 to 8, 2024.
As the BCLF team writes, this year’s theme “is a nod to the emblematic and iconic people, attributes, rituals, and habits that create the composite identity generally considered to be Caribbean. With the underlying conception that the Caribbean experience may be defined through an identifiable and distinguishable universal set of attributes, the festival also aims to showcase the diversity of voices from across the region and the diaspora, emphasizing the rich variety within the Caribbean community.”
