By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, the Taiwan Embassy in Belize expressed with excitement the departure of 44 Belizean 2024 TaiwanICDF and Taiwan MOFA scholarship recipients.
The students have embarked on their journey to start their new lives in Taiwan.
“Study hard and embrace the new experiences! We wish you all the best,” the Taiwan Embassy said.
Recently, the Taiwan Embassy hosted the scholarship recipients whose studies focus on various fields of expertise, including digital media, international affairs, finance, sustainable energy, tropical agriculture, public health, computer science and information technology.
Ambassador Lily Li-Wen Hsu congratulated the 44 aspiring young Belizean awardees.
Ambassador Hsu reiterated that Taiwan offers the scholarship programs to empower young Belizeans and hopes after being equipped with the knowledge and skills needed, they will contribute to the development of Belize.
Both Taiwan MOFA and TaiwanICDF Scholarship programs offer Belizean students opportunities to pursue higher education in Taiwan.
They serve as a pillar of Taiwan-Belize partnership and play a vital role in promoting people-to-people exchanges.
