National Amateur Interdistrict Championship: EZ Griga Conquerors host San Pedro Terror Squad in Finals in Dangriga Saturday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The EZ Griga Conquerors clash with San Pedro Terror Squad in the first leg of the National Amateur Interdistrict Championship (NAIC) Finals on Saturday, August 17, at the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga.

The EZ Griga Conquerors advanced to the finals with a hard-fought 5-4 aggregate score. They secured their spot by defeating Orange Walk’s Mi Gente of Guinea Grass 3-2 in the second leg of the NAIC Semifinals on Saturday, August 10, at the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga. Prior to that, both teams had played to a 2-2 deadlock the previous Sunday, August 4, at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk.

San Pedro Terror Squad earned their finals berth with a commanding 4-1 aggregate win over Toledo Legends. Terror Squad blanked Legends 2-0 in the second leg of the semifinals on Saturday, August 10, at the Victor Sanchez Union Field in Punta Gorda, having already secured a 2-1 victory in the first leg at home at Ambergris Stadium on Saturday, August 3.

The second leg will be played next week in San Pedro.
