By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Minister of Agriculture Jose Abelardo Mai and his technical officers from the Ministry of Agriculture visited the Caribbean Chicken Processing facility in Blue Creek.
The tour, facilitated by the Chairman of the Board, offered the delegation an opportunity to observe the facility’s operations and understand the latest advancements in poultry processing.
Following the tour, a small opening ceremony was hosted at the Caribbean Chicken auditorium to welcome the Minister and show appreciation for his visit.
Addresses were given by Gerhard Friesen, Chairman of Caribbean Chicken, and Minister Mai.
The ceremony included a presentation of an award to Minister Mai by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Caribbean Chicken.
The vote of thanks was delivered by David Bergen.
The visit provided valuable insight into Caribbean Chicken’s advanced poultry processing operations.
The facility, located in Blue Creek, specializes in handling mature birds and utilizes state-of-the-art technology to ensure high standards of quality and food safety.
This tour highlighted Caribbean Chicken’s commitment to maintaining food safety and quality standards within Belize’s poultry industry.
It aligns with ongoing efforts to support and enhance local agricultural practices and foster collaboration within the sector.
