Rudolph Mossiah fined $10,000 for drug possession; charges dropped against common-law wife

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Rudolph Raymond Mossiah, a 38-year-old assistant at Wellworth Store, was fined $10,000 after pleading guilty to possession of 7,597.67 grams of marijuana. Mossiah, of Levi Slusher Street, Belize City, was initially charged alongside his common-law wife, 25-year-old Carla Filomena Lopez, but charges against her were dropped following his guilty plea.

The incident occurred on June 29, 2024, when police found a sack of marijuana in Mossiah’s truck on Central American Boulevard. Mossiah must pay half of his fine by December 31, 2024, and the remainder by June 30, 2025, or face three years imprisonment.
