Orange Walk man on remand pending psych evaluation after being charged with stealing crate of beer from mother’s house

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Orange Walk resident Terry Rhaburn is on remand at the Belize Central Prison pending a psychiatric evaluation ordered by a Magistrate in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court.

Rhaburn, unable to provide his age or date of birth, appeared disoriented and confused during his court appearance for burglary and theft charges. The Magistrate, noticing his demeanor, agreed with the Orange Walk prosecutor that a psychiatric evaluation was necessary.

Rhaburn, who allegedly stole a crate of Belikin beer from his mother’s home, will remain in prison for 6-8 weeks until the evaluation is completed. His next court date is set for September 12, 2024, in the Orange Walk Magistrate’s Court.
