Attorney Orson “OJ” Elrington back in court for rape case

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Attorney Orson “OJ” Elrington, 43, facing rape charges, received partial disclosure from the DPP during his third court appearance on Tuesday. Elrington, accused of raping a woman in January, was charged in March and is currently out on bail.

In court, Elrington and his attorney, Norman Rodriguez, requested access to police stations where the complainant’s statements were made, citing concerns about their authenticity. The DPP agreed to facilitate this request, with full disclosure expected by June 18, 2024.

Elrington’s next court date is set for June 18, when additional evidence will be provided.
