Today, the Governor General H.E. Dame Froyla Tzalam received letters of credence from five newly appointed ambassadors to Belize.
H.E. Most Reverend Santiago De Wit Guzman, Ambassador of the Holy See; H.E. Manuel Cansado Carvalho, Ambassador of Portugal; H.E. Pertti Ikonen, Ambassador of Finland; H.E. Shozah Abbas, Ambassador of Pakistan; and H.E. Nicolay V. Sofinskiy, Ambassador of the Russian Federation, presented their credentials at the Belize House in Belmopan.
The ambassadors each expressed their hopes of forging stronger bonds with Belize during their tenure. Governor General extended a warm welcome to the diplomats and conveyed well wishes on behalf of the people of Belize.
