Dilapidated bathrooms, lack of proper facilities at Santa Elena Sports Complex

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The Cayo Football Association is currently hosting football tournament every Saturday at the Santa Elena Sports Complex in Santa Elena, Cayo.

The tournament caters for young athletes from the Under 10 and Under 13 football teams from the Twin Towns.

The entrance fee is $5.00 per person excluding athletes.

However, parents and families who support the teams are concerned about several issues including the lack of proper facilities.

Athletes and parents are unable to use any bathroom since they are dilapidated.

In addition, the bleachers have no shed therefore the game must be watched every Saturday while being under the broiling sun.

Several parents expressed their disappointment and discontent that there is an actual entrance fee but the facilities are not being maintained or fixed so that attendees can use.
