Mayor Pablo Cawich and Belmopan City Council extend condolences on deaths of mother and child in Belmopan

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Mayor of Belmopan City and Councilors and the Belmopan City Council have joined in extending condolences on the deaths of a mother and child that occurred in Belmopan on March 12.

“In the wake of this heartbreaking incident, Mayor Pablo Cawich, Councilors, and the Belmopan City Council wish to express their deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims. Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this senseless act of violence,” the Belmopan City Council said. 

Mayor Cawich further condemn these horrendous murders and emphasize that violence against women and children is violence against every Belizean and it has no place in Belize and especially our garden city Belmopan.

“The safety and well-being of every resident remains paramount and every effort will be made to ensure a secure environment for all,” the Belmopan City Council expressed.
