By Aaron Humes: Police have made a quick arrest in a murder in Corozal Town on Friday.
Today, police said they had arrested and charged 26-year-old Pablo Deras, who was last seen drinking with the murder victim, Romulo Barillas, in a bushy area not far from their work site on Third Street North, Corozal Town.
Deras and Barillas were co-workers and friends but police have not established what caused Deras to turn on Barillas. He was found in the immediate area shortly after the discovery of Barillas’ body, which sustained multiple chop wounds.
