Belmopan City Council urge residents to direct concerns through Mayor’s office; Deputy Mayor post remains vacant

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On January 23, 2024, the Belmopan City Council issued a statement urging all residents that any correspondence, inquiries, requests, complaints, recommendations, or information related to the operations of the Belmopan City Council, must be directed to, or through the office of Mayor, Madame Sheran Palacio /or the Acting City Administrator Melvyn Edenojie.

The Belmopan City Council noted that this must be done up and until February 29th, 2024 or upon the election of a new Mayor/Council.

“Furthermore, Madame Mayor Palacio takes this opportunity to notify the public that the position of Deputy Mayor is currently vacant and will remain so until a new city council is elected,” the Belmopan City Council noted.
