Minister of Home Affairs says National Security council concerned about accidents involving police vehicles

Among issues discussed is the frequency of accidents involving police vehicles.

During an interview with 7News Belize, Minister of Home Affairs Kareem Musa said that in some instances, it is drunk drivers crashing into the police.

“This is another topic of discussion that came up and there were three instances in the north of the country which was not the fault of the police. I think in two instances it was drunk drivers crashing into police vehicles and in one instance the road caving in while the police motor vehicle was parked and so it is very concerning,” Musa said.

Musa says that the Ministry advocates daily for police officers to take care while on the road and to take care while in possession of the assists of the government.
