Projects in infrastructure, agriculture, education, and other priorities have been borrowed for the nation, but the results have been lacking, he continued, as he called for a “cease-and-desist” from borrowing and reinvest in the productive sector, because the people in those sectors are not feeling it.
Faber took issue with previous reporting on the bill for the acquisition of Fortis Belize Limited and shares in Belize Electricity Limited, in which $76 million did not go to either part of that acquisition and the total amounted to nearly 4 percent of GDP.
