By Aaron Humes: A 28-year-old man, Jahmy Belgrave, was shot and killed today Thursday, December 4, in the East Canal area of Belize City.
Belgrave, a laborer from San Pedro Town, was visiting his children at East Canal when an unknown male person fired several shots at him.
Belgrave was pronounced dead at 4:17 p.m. at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
The matter is currently under investigation, and police are working to determine the motive behind the shooting. The Belize Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
