By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police are investigating an incident that left a young woman injured on Saturday night following an altercation at the Morning Star establishment in Orange Walk.
Reports indicate that upon arrival at the scene, officers observed a female with blood running down the left side of her face. The woman, identified only as a 21-year-old Belizean, reported that while socializing at the location, she became involved in a physical altercation with a group of male individuals whom she knows only by face.
She stated that the men inflicted injuries to her face during the incident.
Police noted that further information could not be gathered at the time, as the victim appeared to be highly under the influence of alcohol.
She was subsequently transported to the Northern Regional Hospital (NRH), where she received medical attention.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
