By Rubén Morales Iglesias: British rider Jim Brown of Miami Blazers has etched his name into the history books of the 2025 Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic, crossing the finish line at Digi Park in Belize City as the 2025 champion after executing a flawless tactical ride.

Brown and American Alfredo Bueno of Legion of Los Angeles had distanced themselves from Colombian Uriel Omar Espinoza of Tenis Stars after Mile 8, working together to maintain their lead. But in the final stretch, Brown timed his attack perfectly, surging ahead of Bueno as they neared Belize City.

Despite a determined effort, Bueno was unable to respond, finishing in second place. Espinoza rode in third place, having fought hard to keep himself in contention after losing contact with the lead duo.

The Belizean chase group, including Derrick Chavarria (G-Flow), Jyven Gonzalez (G-Flow), and Cory Williams (Miami Blazers), were unable to bridge the gap.

Brown’s triumph marks a spectacular conclusion to one of Belize’s most celebrated cycling events, showcasing endurance, strategy, and pure determination.
