2024 Concacaf Girls’ U-15 League B Championship: Belize lead Suriname 2-0 at the half in 11th place match

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The U-15 Belize Girls National Team (BGNT) lead Suriname 2-0 after 35 minutes (the first half) in the 11th place match in the V Concacaf Girls’ U-15 Championship (League B) at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Arima, Trinidad and Tobago.

Just like she did on Thursday against Barbados, Shanalee Smith scored both of Belize’s goals against the South American side. Smith now leads all Belize scorers with four goals. Betsy Perez and Arella Cal follow with one each.

Earlier today, the Dominican Republic and Honduras advanced to the finals. The Dominican Republic defeating hosts Trinidad and Tobago 1-0 in the first semifinal while Honduras beat Guatemala 2-0 in the other semifinal.

Bermuda won fifth place earlier with a 2-0 win over Cuba.
