By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Under-15 Belize Girls National Team (BGNT) fell 1-0 to Cuba in their second match in the V Concacaf Girls’ U-15 Championship (League B) being held in Trinidad and Tobago at the Larry Gomes Stadium on Tuesday.
Belize created opportunities but were unable to convert.
After Rosales scored for Cuba in the 57th minute to give the Caribbean side a 1-0 lead, Belize pushed forward but the tying goal just wouldn’t come.
The U-15 BGNT lost 5-1 on Monday to Honduras. Betsy Perez scored Belize’s only goal in the 29th minute, at the time tying the score 1-1.
Honduras lead Group E after recording a second 5-1 win on Tuesday defeating Barbados earlier.
The U-15 BGNT will play their final group stage match against Barbados on Thursday, August 8, at 1:00 pm.
