By Aaron Humes: On Monday evening, at 8:40 PM, police responded to reports of shots fired at Cannondale Drive, Belize City. Upon arrival, they found bullet holes on the wall of a two-story house as well as expended shells on the ground.
Initial investigations revealed that at around 8:20 PM, a 17-year-old student was walking home when he was approached by two men on bicycles. One suspect dismounted, drew a gun, and fired several shots at the teenager, who managed to escape unharmed. The assailants then fled toward McKay Boulevard.
A police investigation is underway.
