Στις 23 Οκτωβρίου 2007 είχα την τιμή να συμμετέχω ως κριτής στον 1ο Διεθνή Διαδικτυακό Διαγωνισμό Ψηφιακής Φωτογραφίας, που οργάνωσε η Φωτογραφική Εταιρεία Κύπρου σε συνεργασία με την Velvet Classic και την Anticipate Web Developments. Ο διαγωνισμός αυτός παρουσίαζε ορισμένες καινοτομίες. Κατ’αρχήν ήταν διαδικτυακός, πράγμα που σημαίνει ότι οι συμμετέχοντες έπρεπε να αποστείλουν τα έργα τους μέσω διαδικτύου. Αυτό από μόνο του δεν συνιστά πρωτοτυπία, αφού διαγωνισμοί μέσω διαδικτύου έχουν ήδη οργανωθεί πολλές φορές. Η ιδιαιτερότητα συνίστατο στο γεγονός ότι η επιλογή των έργων γινόταν από το ίδιο το κοινό. Ο κάθε επισκέπτης των σχετικών ιστοσελίδων μπορούσε δηλαδή να ψηφίσει τις φωτογραφίες που του άρεσαν και αυτές που συγκέντρωναν τους περισσότερους βαθμούς κέρδιζαν τα βραβεία του «κοινού» και παράλληλα προκρίνονταν για να αξιολογηθούν από την κριτική επιτροπή, που θα έδινε τα βραβεία των κριτών. |

Two local newspapers published the news on today’s issue itself! Attaching the copy and the translation.
More than the award and money it is more of international integration,knowing people each other.Cyprus is comparatively unknown place for us and through this competition myself ,my relatives,friends and now the newspaper people are interested to know about Cyprus and this competition.
I am from the southern state Kerala in India.Though we have a national language in Hindi,every state has a separate language and the language of Kerala is Malayalam.
My father(who is no more)was a freedom fighter and politician,he was one of the most respected politicians in Kerala,so the newspaper has highlighted that also.
